Born on June 14th 1928

Joined the university of Buenos Aires in 1948 as a medicine student

Received his diploma on 12th of June 1953

Started a journey on 7th of July 1953 that took him to Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, Panama, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, and El Salvador.

He reached Guatemala at the end of the year 1953

Arrived in Mexico on September 1954

Met Raul Castro in June 1955 (Mexico)

Met Fidel Castro on the 8th of July 1955 (Mexico)

Married his girlfriend Hilda Gadea on August 18th 1955

His daughter Hilda Beatriz was born on February 15, 1956

Headed by sea to Cuba on November 25, 1956

Became a trainer in March 1958, for the 26th of July movement of Fidel Castro

Organized the attack on Santa Clara, Cuba on December 1958

Received the Cuban nationality on February 7th 1959, and considered to be a Cuban citizen by birth

Having divorced his wife, he married Aleida March from the 26th of July movement on June 2nd 1959

Became commander of the La cabana Fortress prison between January 2nd and June 12th 1959

Unsuccessful revolutionary attempt in the Dominican Republic on June 14th 1959

Played a major role in the Cuban missile crisis on October 1962

Addressed the United Nations general assembly on December 11th 1964 in New York

Gave his last public speech on February 24 1965 in Algeria

Believed to have helped organize starting April 24 1965 a failed coup in Congo

Fidel Castro announced on October 3rd 1965 that Guevara officially resigned from his posts in Cuba, renounced his citizenship and was off to more expeditions

Lived secretly in Dar Essalam and Prague in 1966, then visits Cuba and heads to Bolivia

Captured on October 8 1967 by Bolivian special forces lead by CIA Agent Felix Rodriguez

Executed in a schoolhouse in La Higuera in Bolivia on October 9 1967 (1:10pm)

Fidel Castro confirms Guevara's death on 15 October 1967 and announces a 3 days mourning

Remains found in 1997 and laid to rest on October 17 1997 in a specially built mausoleum in Santa Clara
